![]() I had watched my late grandfather play this on the original NES when I was very young, I had even attempted to play it after he had gone and I thought the game was very difficult. ![]() The game in my country is $15.99 Canadian, which means I got less than an hour per dollar and I completed the game and achievements, I kinda figured this was going to be case but I enjoy these games and to me it was worth it, someone who has never played this one before will more than likely spend more time on it. Combat gets repetitive sometimes in certain spots that are big jogs to get through. I never really found the game was straight forward on where to go, you can usually figure it out based on where you have been and what the NPCs in towns tell you. Game looks, feels, sounds, and plays really smooth IMO, a lot of people had complaints at the launch for this about the text font and stuff but I never really had an issue with any of it personally. You play as the four warriors of light who seek to restore the light to the crystals they hold, that is the plot, it is a very basic RPG plot. I have played the game multiple times on both GBA and PSP so the hours I have for going through the game was just from me already knowing where to go already. Feels pretty good for a remaster, but it isn't quite a 1 to 1 remaster as it comes with a lot of QOL changes that were not in the NES version but lacks the extra content from the later versions.
